Recommended by @smileybone@todon.eu as a book that's great for readers and...(I forgot what the other things were? But I hear it's a must-read!). Hoping to get my hands on a physical copy, but maybe I'll just end up reading it on my new Kobo Elipsa

@badrihippo This is a banger about colonialism and how a few students from British colonies are brought in to Oxford to be educated and work for the Empire, and them trynna figure out how to balance their love of learning with the ethical quandaries of working for the Empire (spoiler: there is no balance)
There's also some amazing magical/fantasy elements to it too

@smileybone@todon.eu actually it's the magical fantasy elements that hooked me first :P
I ended up buying the book! After having read all of it on the Kobo at that.
